Recorded in 1969-72 at Pie Sound Studio in London.

Who Came First, Pete Townshend ‘s solo debut album, includes demos from the Who’s unfinished rock opera Lifehouse, part of which became Who's Next, and tracks from two previously released albums in tribute to his guru Meher Baba, Happy Birthday and I Am; albums that were privately distributed in very small quantities between 1970 and 1972 in the UK.

This Classic Record LP was remastered at Sterling Sound Studio, using pure analogue components only, from the original analogue studio tapes through to the cutting head and pressed on a 200-gram virgin vinyl LP at RTI.
